What the Ritual Edition adds

Everything in the standard version, plus a continuous 30-minute session made from the same music. Designed to be heard in two 15-minute blocks:

  • The music extended, with its frequency sounding continuously from start to finish.
  • Water and a gong in the key of the session.
  • Every 15 minutes, a one-minute pause with no music: just the frequency, the water and the gong, which sounds every 15 seconds.
  • FLAC 24-bit / 48 kHz and MP3 320 kbps, with notes for the session (TXT).

The session FLAC file is about 0.4 GB: it downloads on its own, outside the ZIP.

The piece

Mountain Stillness is a piece for slow practice. A deep guqin opens with long, resonant pulses and gliding slides, and a distant guzheng answers it. Now and then a temple bell sounds far away, over soft mountain wind and a stream running below.

It is written in D minor pentatonic at a very slow, free tempo, with A tuned to 432 Hz. The music leaves room for standing, breathing and moving slowly. The frequency breathes once every 4.29 seconds, the signature of QiGong Waves, the album this piece opens.

The Solfeggio tradition considers 174 Hz the frequency of the Earth and associates it with rooting, easing tension and rest, linked to the soles of the feet, the legs, the lower back and the root chakra. Theories of vibration and resonance associate this frequency with cellular regeneration in those specific areas.
